Introduction

BeeCrow, LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates Ratebee, a currency converter app for travelers. This policy explains what data the app handles and what leaves your device.

Privacy by Design

Ratebee does not require an account. Your currency selections, entered amounts, round-up preferences, and cached exchange rates are stored only on your device. We do not have a server that stores your personal information.

Data Stored Locally

• Your selected currencies, their order, and round-up settings
• The most recent exchange-rate snapshot, cached so the app works offline while you travel

This data stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.

Exchange Rates

To show live rates, the app requests publicly available exchange-rate data from open.er-api.com. These requests fetch rates only; they do not send your amounts, currency selections, or any personal information. Your device's IP address is visible to that provider as part of any standard internet request.

Analytics & Crash Reporting

To understand how the app is used and to fix problems, we use:

• Sentry for crash and error reporting (device model, OS version, and the technical context of an error)
• PostHog for anonymous product analytics (for example: app opened, a currency added or removed, an amount entered, round-up toggled). We record which actions happen, not the amounts you type or your financial data.

This data is pseudonymous and is used only to improve Ratebee. It is not sold or used for advertising.

Data We Do Not Collect

• No name, email, or account registration
• No location tracking (currency suggestions use your device's timezone and locale settings on-device only)
• No advertising identifiers and no ad networks
• No sale of personal data

Children's Privacy

Ratebee is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Your Rights

Because the app holds no account, you control your data directly: clear it by removing currencies in the app or by uninstalling. For questions about analytics data or to request its deletion, contact us at the address below. Users in the EU (GDPR) and California (CCPA) have the right to access and delete their data.

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a new date.
